Evelynn is potty trained!

Wow, it hasn't been too long but I already have so much to update on. However, for lack of time today I am only going to go into detail on one thing. Evelynn is potty trained now!!

Evelynn is 19 months old now and she is fully potty trained during the day. We are thinking about starting night time potty training soon but right now I couldn't be more proud of her progress. She started showing signs at 16 months and I kind of blew it off because I thought she was too young. However, later I realized that I was making a big mistake and decided to go ahead and try out the idea of potty training. We put her in underwear and things went so fast! The first day she had 3 accidents and the second day she had 1, but the 3rd day she had NO ACCIDENTS AT ALL!!!! And since then she has only had 1 or 2 accidents total. The accidents she has had were mostly our faults too, like once in the car but I forgot to take her potty before we left and then we were out and about in the car for almost 2 hours. We ordered piddle pads for the car and a travel potty and she does great even when we are out in public. The first week or so we just took her any time she looked like she might need to go, or every 2 hours... but now (about 3 weeks into it) she tells us any time she needs to go potty!

I am so proud of my little girl. OH! And on a side note; she started daycare last week and I fully expected her to have a few accidents because of all the changes and lack of one-on-one attention, but she has not had any accidents at school either! She really is getting to be such a big girl. :)

Back To Blogging.

So It's been quite some time since I have blogged. That needs to change. I love writing and documenting what happens in this crazy life. I have been a tad better with my video blog on YouTube, but unfortunately neither have been updated as often as they should have been.

I believe my last blog I was 33 weeks pregnant, and Evelynn was 13 months old. I feel like that was a lifetime ago. An Update, Evelynn will be 19 months old on Wednesday. She is the smartest little girl I know. She has made a complete turn around from the last time I blogged. She was a baby then, now she is a little girl... Notice I don't say toddler, because that is not what she is. She truly is a little girl now. She walks, runs, climbs, and does many other physical things with ease now. She actually started gymnastics class a few weeks ago and she loves it. She talks; and by that I mean she REALLY talks. She can understand anything you say, repeat anything you say, and use words in context at least 90% of the time. She tells me what she wants, she has great manners, and she is an all around sweetheart. Now, I won't lie- she has times where she throws crazy tantrums and I wonder where she came from, but overall she is so sweet. Her favorite things are snacks, music, books, jumping, bouncy balls, blankets, her daddy, her baby doll, and being outside. Not only that, but Evelynn is COMPLETELY daytime potty trained. She is in panties other than her nap and bedtime. Even her naps she has been waking up dry from though. Today, we did our first public outing and we were gone for nearly 5 hours, she had no accidents. And she is very proud of herself. She is always telling me that she is a big girl, or a big helper; and she is right. She truly is. She loves to help regardless of the circumstance. As far as my pregnancy goes, I was able to go into labor naturally and have a natural unmedicated childbirth on my exact due date, which was January 9th, 2013. My wonderful son, Josiah was born weighing 9lbs7oz and 21in long. He is a handsome little guy. He is more needy than his sister ever was, a complete mama's boy. And he is exclusively breastfed, which I am so happy about! He is going to be 4 months old next week and I cannot believe it. Time is going way too fast. I am incredibly blessed.

Stephen has been home now. He started back at his work and things are going well. We really pretty settled here now and have made a home for ourselves. I started a flower garden, and I have been looking into schooling for the kids, even though that is years away. Right now though, Stephen is gone for a duty weekend. He shouldn't deploy for at least another year now and I am very happy about that. Much has changed. I am at a point in my life where I am greatly considering going back to work. I absolutely love being home with my babies, but I feel like I am a happier person when I can work as well. I have been looking into assistant director and Director positions at childcare centers in this area. One position I am extremely interested in and I am hoping something will work out. I am not over-concerned with it though. If it does not, I plan to stop looking for jobs, keeping my niece for the summer, and re-evaluating the situation in the fall which is when I plan to either start looking for jobs again or go back to college for my bachelor degree. There are so many options for me and for our family. I am not sure where it will lead us, but I know wherever we end up, we are going to be okay.

My new plan is to try and blog at least once a week now. Much is going on in life to blog about. Potty training, baby boy (who is meeting milestones left and right! He is now able to roll over both ways.) career searching, family relationships, family planning, Evelynn's development, etc. I even want to start talking about and working on my health. I have lots of room for improvement. Also, if you don't already- you could follow my YouTube page where I also am doing vlogs. LoveFamilyLife. :)

Until Next Time,
